Pugnacious is the word that comes to mind when examining this chubby bent apple from late carver R.C. Sands. The shank possesses a slight reverse taper that gives this pipe a somewhat Danish element, but the strong chin is reminiscent of the Italian school of design. Unpretentious and thick walled, it is definitely more of a holder than clencher, but the acrylic stem is very comfortable in mouth.
