Finished smooth with cross-grain reaching from front to back, this Charatan Special 483 bell dublin estate pipe carries a wide, broad rim and the front of the bowl is completely covered with the resulting tightly knit birdseye from the end-grain. There is some very minor inner rim darkening toward the back of the bowl as well as some minor handling marks and a slightly worn logo on the stem, but this English bent birar, saddled with Charatan's famous and sturdy double comfort stem, is still in outstanding condition with a massively wide and pretty deep chamber suitable for any tongue friendly and complex blend worthy of a large ember and a slow puffing pace.
